- Abstract
The global spread of corruption and the constant complication of its forms necessitate the development of new interdisciplinary approaches to the analysis and prevention of this phenomenon. A specific feature of corruption is its predominantly verbal nature: corrupt interactions are initiated, developed and implemented mainly in the format of verbal communication. The fight against corruption also relies on linguistic means – legal norms, public statements, expert opinions, information and educational campaigns. The complex rhetorical organization of corruption and anti-corruption discourses makes their in-depth theoretical understanding necessary. Currently, related research fields are actively being formed: legal linguistics, linguistic expertise, political linguistics, theory of speech genres. At the same time, fundamental research on the rhetorical foundations of anti-corruption activities as an independent scientific field has not yet been conducted. In this context, the development of the theoretical foundations of anti-corruption rhetoric as an interdisciplinary scientific field seems promising. A primary description of the multidimensional manifestations of anti-corruption rhetoric, as well as its systemic and structural parameters, will make it possible to assess the research potential of this area and determine its place in the system of humanitarian knowledge
