- Abstract
In response to demographic and human resource challenges, an agenda for increased business participation in addressing demographic issues is being developed in Russian regions. A key driver of this process is the dissemination of corporate citizenship ideas and principles within the business community. The aim of the article is to develop and test a methodology for assessing the readiness of Russian regions to implement corporate citizenship in the demographic sphere. The study develops methodological principles for such an assessment and proposes an assessment method that allows for the creation of an integrated regional readiness index. The methodology was tested using the Sverdlovsk Region as an example. The findings advance the theoretical and methodological foundations for analyzing and assessing regional socioeconomic development, allowing for the consideration of new, in- demand activities of the regional community that are emerging in response to demographic challenges
