Abstract

This study investigates the antihypertensive potential of Quisqualis indica L. leaf extracts compounds through phytochemical quantification, LC–MS-QQQ profiling, in vitro ACE inhibition, and molecular docking. The methanol extract showed potent ACE inhibition (80.81 %), correlating with high flavonoid (78.06 mg/g) and polyphenol (63.42 mg/g) content. LC–MS identified quercetin, rutin, and kaempferol. Molecular docking confirmed strong ACE binding, notably kaempferol-3-O-glucoside (–9.139 kcal/mol). These findings support Q. indica as a novel source of natural ACE inhibitors
