Abstract

The condensation of allobetulone with thiosemicarbazide in an ethanol medium leading to the production of allobetulin 3-thiosemicarbazone and its subsequent heterocyclization into allobetulin 1,2,3-thiadiazole was studied for the first time. The structure of allobetulin 3-thiosemicarbazone and allobetulin 1,2,3-thiadiazole was confirmed using FTIR and NMR spectroscopy, and the composition was determined by elemental analysis. It has been shown that allobetulin 1,2,3-thiadiazole, synthesized from allobetulin 3-thiosemicarbazone, is identical in its physico-chemical characteristics to the compound obtained by the known method from allobetulin 3-semicarbazone
