- Abstract
The goal of this paper is to present a brief comprehensive review text on the theoretical framework that provides basic description of the magnetodynamics of single-domain superparamagnetic particles. It is shown how the classical framework (Landau–Lifshitz and Gilbert equations) are modified for the case of superparamagnetic behavior where temperature explicitly enters the equations since the deterministic dynamics is replaced by the stochastic one that is rendered by either the kinetic (Fokker- Planck-like) equation for the distribution function or by the set of equations which link the statistical moments of growing order. As an initial step, the conventional macroscopic (phenomenological) descrip- tion of magnetodynamics of a ferromagnet particle is outlined and discussed
