Abstract

The ephemeral wetland vegetation of the Irtysh River in the southern Tyumen Region is poorly studied: only one publication on this topic is known, including 14 relevés. The current article presents a new dataset (31 relevés). Based on it, this article characterizes plant communities of the association Rorippo dogadovae-Limoselletum aquaticae Taran 2005 (Eleocharition soloniensis Philippi 1968, Nanocyperetalia Klika 1935, Isoëto-Nanojuncetea Br.-Bl. et Tx. in Br.-Bl. et al. 1952) studied at two key areas in the Tobolsky (the city of Tobolsk) and Uvatsky districts of the Tyumen Region. Most of the relevés are attributed to the subassociation R.d.-L.a. typicum Taran 2005 (synonym: R.d.-L.a. rumicetosum ucranici Taran 2005), which is represented by six facies: salicosum triandrae, physcomitrellosum patentis, filaginellosum rossicae, limosellosum aquaticae, mixtum, elatinosum hydropiperis. The last listed facies is very rare, while the first four are common. On the banks of the Irtysh, the main facies are located above the river water level in the following order (listed in descending order of the average height of the bank levels they occupy): salicosum triandrae, physcomitrellosum patentis, filaginellosum rossicae, limosellosum aquaticae. In the internal delta of the Bartak River, a small tributary of the Irtysh, extrazonal communities of the subassociation R.d.-L.a. coleanthetosum subtilis Taran 2005 were found. They were represented by the limosellosum aquaticae and callitrichosum palustris facies. The cold microclimate in the internal delta of the Bartak River, caused by the long-term presence of a seasonally frozen layer in the soils of this small floodplain, is an extrazonal analogue of the Ob-Irtysh floodplain climate in the middle taiga subzone
