Abstract

The article presents the results of tree- ring analysis of wood from 4 burials at the Oglakhty cemetery, a benchmark site of the Tashtyk culture. Grave 2023/1 was investigated in 2023, while graves 7, 9, and A2023/3 were re-excavated after the work of L. R. Kyzlasov and A. V. Adrianov. A collection of 38 wood samples, represented mainly by Scots pine and, to a lesser extent, Siberian larch, was formed on the materials from the burial wooden frames. Generalized tree-ring chronologies (TRCs) for pine were obtained for graves 7 and 2023/1, which were cross-dated with the generalized pine and larch TRCs built for the Oglakhty site – OgP and OgL The dates of 2 burials were determined as 234 and 254 years according to the relative Oglakhty time-scale. The grave A2023/3 was dated through one individual series as 251 relative years; grave 9 was undated. The established dates are consistent with previously obtained relative dates for other burials and extend the burial ground’s operational time by at least 20 years
