Abstract

The work is devoted to the study of ultrasound absorption in dispersed systems. Ultrasound absorption in emulsions is modeled using a computational algorithm and software developed based on the Urick model. Emulsions consisting of distilled water and diesel fuel were considered. The concentrations of the hydrocarbon phase were equal to 0.5, 1 and 2%. Absorption coefficients in water-diesel fuel emulsions in the range of 1–100 MHz were calculated. A satisfactory agreement between the calculated and experimental data is shown
