Abstract

The article investigates the properties of vulcanized rubber based on a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer SKEPT‑40 and nitrile butadiene SKN 2645 rubbers with equal mass replacement of carbon black P 514 with dispersed fillers (kaolin, diatomites NDP-D -400 and NDP-D-230, natural chalk and microquartz). It is shown that the replacement of carbon black P 514 with the listed fillers leads to changes in the rheometric, physico‑ mechanical, and performance properties of the vulcanized rubber. In this case, a decrease in the maximum and minimum torques is observed, and an increase in the scorch time of the rubber compound. The rubber compound including kaolin has the longest time before vulcanization begins and the best technological properties. It was found that when carbon black P 514 is replaced with fillers, a decrease in the tensile strength properties of the vulcanized rubber occurs within acceptable limits. Rubber containing kaolin has high resistance to thermal oxidation, stability to the action of hydrocarbons and can be recommended for the manufacture of molded products used in the automotive industry
