Abstract

The species diversity in 14 model taxonomic groups of invertebrates and vertebrates distributed across the territory of the Eastern European Hypoarctic zone has been characterized. The presented data were obtained during long-term field studies conducted by researchers of the Institute of Biology of the Komi Science Centre of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Kaninskaya, Malozemelskaya, and Bolshezemelskaya Tundras, the Pai-Khoy and the Yugorsky Peninsula, the Polar Urals, and the northern part of the Subpolar Urals. The faunal review considerably expands the data of the previous large-scale inventory of the fauna of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug carried out in 2014–2016
