Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the musical creativity of the Siberian composer A. I. Teplyakov through the prism of synesthetic perception. The relevance of the topic is due to the steady growth of scientific interest in neuroaesthetics and the psychology of artistic creativity in a regional context. The main purpose of the work is to identify hidden mechanisms of personal self-regulation, which are implemented by the author through stable color and sound associations. In the course of the empirical study, a set of qualitative and quantitative research methods was applied to cover both the subjective and objective sides of the phenomenon (the method of synesthetic interpretation of musical text according to N. P. Kolyadenko, the method of in-depth semi-structured interview with the author, the method of score analysis with the imposition of color markers on the tonal plans of works from different periods of A. I. Teplyakov’s work, questionnaires, testing on the M. Lusher color test). It has been established that for Teplyakov, synesthesia acts not only as an innate perceptual phenomenon, but also as a conscious tool for emotional stabilization in conditions of harsh climate and high creative tension. The results clearly demonstrate the direct connection between complex tonal plans and specific color images that form a unique system of inner harmony. This study makes a significant contribution to understanding the regional features of the modern musical mentality and significantly expands scientific understanding of the role of synesthesia in the compositional process, offering an innovative model of interaction between psychology and art studies in the Siberian Federal District
