- Abstract
The article substantiates the need to form a new interdisciplinary approach to corruption prevention through the prism of the concept of the “digital profile of a corrupt official”, taking into account the legislation and law enforcement practice of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China. In the context of the digital transformation of society, traditional methods of detecting corruption risks focused on documentary checks are proving to be insufficiently effective, while the use of artificial intelligence to conceal the criminal source of funds, including by disguising legitimate transactions and transactions, complicate the identification and seizure of corrupt proceeds. This situation is typical for both the domestic legal order and the legal space of China. The paper distinguishes between a forensic “portrait” (used “post factum”) and a predictive profile aimed at assessing corruption risks. Special attention is paid to the methodological challenges of digital profiling, as well as the ethical and legal dilemmas that arise during its construction and use, and ways to overcome the identified gaps are proposed
