Abstract

In this paper, we introduce relation-theoretic generalised Berinde-type contractions in the setting of metric spaces and prove some best proximity point results for such mappings on metric spaces. Our results generalize the results of Cho [7] in the metric spaces endowed with an arbitrary binary relation. An example is presented that justifies our generalization
