Abstract

The article examines the issue of rendering brand names and abbreviations found in the Kazakh-language speech synthesis system in accordance with the orthoepic norms of the Kazakh language. The main objective of the study is to examine the ways in which brand names and abbreviations are rendered in the speech synthesis system and the peculiarities of their pronunciation. In the course of the study, the orthoepic and prosodic features of brand names were analyzed. As a result, a model for adapting brand and abbreviated names to the sound system of the Kazakh language was proposed. In addition, a template for bringing brand names into conformity with the orthoepic norm of the Kazakh language was developed, and the distinctive features of their pronunciation were identified. The scientific and practical significance of the study lies in providing a unified, systematic rendering of the pronunciation of widely used foreign-language brand names in the Kazakh language. Since Kazakh speech synthesis is used in virtual assistants, navigation systems, mobile applications, and artificial intelligence, it is important that brand names and abbreviations be rendered systematically. In addition, the results of the study contribute to the improvement of digital resources in the Kazakh language, the expansion of the use of the state language in the information space, and the development of speech technologies in the Kazakh language
