Abstract: This article analyzes the electromagnetic field of a flat linear induction machine with an analytical method of mathematical modeling. Graphs of the electromagnetic characteristics of the machines were obtained, taking into account the longitudinal edge effect at various values of slip and coefficients of quality factor. Also made a comparative assessment of the effect of the longitudinal edge effect on the performance of the machine
