Abstract

New cluster complex [cis-Ca(OPPh3)4(H2O)2][{Re6(μ3-S)6(μ3-Br)2}Br6]·2CH3CN was synthesized and structurally characterized. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic C2/c space group with cell parameters: a = 23,0374(6), b = 16,3791(4), c = 25,3383(7) Å, β = 108,924(1)˚, V = 9044,2(4) Å3, Z = 4, ρcalc = 2,365 g/cm3. The compound has ionic structure in which [cis-Ca(OPPh3)4(H2O)2]2+ cations and [{Re6(μ3-S)6(μ3-Br)2}Br6]2- cluster anions interact through hydrogen bonds O-H…Br. In the crystal structure of the compound there are hydrogen bonds O-H…N and π-π stacking interactions between phenyl rings of triphenylphosphine oxide (OPPh3).
