Abstract

The pandemic and the transition to distance learning caused objective difficulties in the field of education that requires working out new educational technologies, testing adequate methods of their implementation, and improving measures to support education as one of the priority areas of social development. Based on archival and official documents, the authors take advantage of the historical experience of the formation of public education in the country as a whole and in its regions, in particular. The article focuses on the problems of the formation of public education in Khakassia in the second half of the 19th – at the beginning of the 21st century. The purpose of the article is to analyze the main periods of the formation of public education in Khakassia that are caused by political events in Russia. There were singled out three stages of education development: Pre-Soviet, Soviet, and modern
