Abstract

The study is a section of a scientific project to study the national policy of the USSR in relation to the indigenous peoples of the Far North. In this section, the national policy of the USSR is studied through the prism of human perception and the collective memory of indigenous peoples about the events of the Soviet past that took place in the Far North. The Evenki municipal district was chosen as one of the regions for studying the historical memory of the indigenous peoples of the north. In accordance with this, the goal presented in the article is to research modern scientific methods for the study of historical memory, identify the most effective scientific practices in this area and develop, on the basis of these best practices, a methodology for studying the historical memory of the Soviet past in the Evenk municipal district. As a result of an analytical review of modern scientific publications on the methodology of studying historical memory, it was established that such studies are interdisciplinary and rely on the use of such methods as historical analysis of documents, sociological survey, content analysis, focus group, in-depth interviews, study of commemorative practices and places of memory, as well as psychological drawing and other methods. Based on the results of studying the history of Evenkia in the XX century, from the 1930s to the 1970s, the key events, political decisions and reforms that determined the development of the Evenk region in Soviet times were identified, on the basis of which a questionnaire was compiled for conducting a sociological survey and its subsequent processing by the method of factor -analysis, as well as a scenario for conducting focus groups, which is given in the article in full
