Abstract

The processes of separation and distribution of power in society are largely determined by socio-political communications, the study of which at the present stage of development of society acquires both theoretical and practical relevance. In modern conditions, the influence of socio-political communications on the development of society acquires not only a positive character, in terms of the formation of public dialogue, ideological consensus, but also contains certain threats in the context of the use of new information technologies in the dissemination of mechanisms for manipulating public opinion. In this context, the relationship between socio-political communications and issues of ideological discourse is obvious. The phenomenon of ideology within the framework of discourse analysis is considered from the point of view of its role in the reproduction of social relations. In the ideological discourse there is always a controversy expressing the most general tendencies of the struggle of certain ideas in society. On the one hand, ideologies first of all try to outline relations with their most prominent opponents, contacts with which are formed on the principles of distancing. Ultimately, such a «dialogue» mode of discourse leads to political destabilization. On the other hand, the ideological contacts of supporters of ideologies with more politically acceptable competitors suggests the possibility of their rapprochement, which cannot but strengthen political stability in society. The article analyzes current trends in the development of socio-political communications, as well as their influence on the formation of the ideological configuration of modern society. The implementation of socio-political communications in the public sphere of socio-political relations is presented. The functions implemented in the public sphere are analyzed, allowing to ensure effective interaction between the authorities and society. The type of social structure depends on socio-political communications, within which new technological practices are formed that have a contradictory effect on the development of society. As a result of the study, the necessity of the practical application of socio-political communications in achieving an ideological consensus in modern society is shown
