- Abstract
This article analyzes the comprehension of the cultural dynamics of the indigenous peoples of the North in paintings and graphic works. The main attention is paid to the correlation of cultural dynamics with cultural statics. The general method is philosophical and art history analysis. The study made it possible to propose a way to systematize works that visualize the life of the indigenous peoples of the North, firstly. In accordance with the denial or recognition of cultural dynamics in them and, secondly. In accordance with the presented models of interaction between the traditional and the new. Internal and external. In total. In the proposed systematization, six models of understanding the cultural dynamics of the indigenous peoples of the North have been identified, but the authors believe that their number can be expanded in the course of further research of paintings and graphic works that visualize the life of northern ethnic groups
