Abstract

It has been studied the structure, phase composition and the specific surface of alumina-based powder systems produced by the method of thermal decomposition of hydroxide aluminum and the plasmaspray pyrolysis method. It was shown that in the coarse-grained powder the transformation to α - form is occurred in a wide temperature range (600-1200 °C) while for a plasmochemical powder this transition was observed in a narrow range of temperatures (1150-1200 °C) and has a sharp, «explosive» character and is accompanied by destruction of foam-like agglomerates and an increasing of the specific surface.
