- Abstract
The article presents the author’s interpretation of the main modern concepts of techno-futurism through the allocation of related areas, including futurology, technology assessment and techno-progressivism (in conjunction with bioconservatism). The authors believe that the socio-technological transformation of modern Russia should be accompanied by the study and adaptation of a number of concepts related not only to forecasting the future, but also to the creation of a technology assessment system that would be focused on transforming technologies in a purposeful manner. The upcoming technological transformations will lead to a number of social changes, the Russian specifics of which must be predicted now. A critical analysis of techno-futuristic attitudes makes it possible to create the prerequisites for choosing the most optimal way for these transformations, taking into account Russian cultural and local characteristics. At the same time, there is a stable Russian traditional conceptual base, the possibilities of which for understanding techno-futurism are far from being exhausted. The prospects of the research are connected with the development of a methodological strategy that allows to identify the initial attitudes of Russians in relation to techno-futurism. It is necessary to apply mathematical and statistical methods to the study of the image of techno-futurism, characteristic of various social groups and communities. It can also be assumed that these attitudes will differ in different regions of the Russian Federation, which in one way or another will predetermine the social dynamics of the introduction of innovative technologies in these regions
