- Abstract
This article is devoted to the examination of cultural memory, its varieties and the forms through which it functions in modern society. The main focus is on the type of «local» memory, so important for the preservation and development of regional culture. The following work is just one of the fragments of a fairly large-scale study of the Krasnoyarsk region cultural memory recorded in various forms of audiovisual arts. The material for the study are documentaries, filmed in Krasnoyarsk krai in the last third of XX – early XXI centuries. It is in cinematography, as well as in other media, memory studies researchers see today the key to understanding of this phenomenon. The following films were considered as representatives of Krasnoyarsk documentaries: «And the past seems to be a dream… » by S. Miroshnichenko, «Once upon a time there lived an old man and an old woman» by I. Zaytseva, and also issues of the local newsreel “Yenisei Meridian”. As a result of the study carried out within the framework of semiotic and phenomenological approaches the key aspects of cultural (local) memory of the Krasnoyarsk region residents were identified, as well as the transformation of its display on the screen was recorded
