- Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of generational change in modern Russia. The epistemology of M. Foucault is taken as the methodological basis of the study. The concept of discourse is given decisive importance because it provides an understanding of the mechanisms of social change. Social change affects the process of generational delineation. The exclusion procedure in this case plays an important role. The description of generational realities in Russia is built through the prism of the concept of W. Strauss and N. Howe. Generations X, Y and Z are considered taking into account the social and political development of the country over the past 40 years. Examples of rapid transformations of the value principles of building life show a gradual loss of unity of language, interests, aspirations, expectations and goals, which deprives the achievement of interpersonal commonality of actions. However, at the end of the article, the author expresses the hope that intergenerational consent is still possible, despite the fact that the existing contradictions seem to be unsolvable
