Abstract

The article presents the results of comparing the regions of the Siberian Federal District for the provision of swimming pools. The geographical and demographic indicators of the regions, as well as the number of sports facilities in them, are analyzed. The influence of the availability of sports facilities, their proximity to the capital of the region as well as other factors on the level of sports results is revealed. The level of development of such kind of sport as “Swimming” was determined on the basis of competitions results and number of swimmers’ high sports titles. Some recommendations for the corresponding Federation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were proposed
