Abstract

The article examines the concept of Russianness, which is relevant both for the social sciences and humanities and for modern socio-political life. The author, analyzing the works of leading researchers and publicists, notes that Russianness is primarily a spiritual foundation, an inner worldview, a special warehouse of the soul. It is emphasized that the concept of “Russianness” is not identical to the concepts of “Russian-speaking” and “Russian”. It is highlighted that the ethnic component, while not being paramount, is also taken into account, complemented by the spiritual component
