- Abstract
Hydrolytic processing of metal bismuth to obtain high-purity basic carbonate us investigated by means of X-ray phase, granulometric, atomic absorption, and chemical analyses, along with electron microscopy. The methods of obtaining basic bismuth carbonate (BiO)2CO3 by precipitation from bismuth- containing nitric and lactic acid solutions after the addition of these solutions to ammonium carbonate solutions, and by the interaction of basic bismuth nitrates differing from each other in composition with ammonium carbonate solution are compared. The conditions for the formation of high- purity basic bismuth carbonate (BiO)2CO3 are determined
