Abstract

Russian old-timers of the Yenisei North left a sacred space filled with many meanings to their descendants. Temple buildings occupy a significant place in the study. The authors analyze the process of restoration of churches in Yeniseysk, which are national level listed buildings, and consider the experience of preserving other cultural monuments of the region. The authors discuss the issue of preserving the heritage of ancestors and including temples in modern settlements. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the article for the first time reviews projects related to the reconstruction of space, territory branding, the creation of new museum spaces, the formation of tourist routes and the sanctification of restored objects. It is concluded that due to various scenarios, previously lost elements of the sacred space can be formed or recreated
