- Abstract
Mosaic art is a complex and labor- intensive form of monumental art that gained widespread prominence during the Soviet period, becoming an important tool for visualizing and promoting the core values and ideas of the new socialist state. Despite its significance, Soviet mosaic art often remains undervalued, underexplored, and forgotten due to a combination of ideological, cultural, and aesthetic factors. This article aims to analyze a selection of works created in the mosaic technique, focusing on their role as carriers of ideals and values characteristic of the era of their creation, specifically those conveying the imagery of scientific progress. The study considers the historical context, the features of state ideology, and the sociocultural conditions of the time in which these works were produced. Particular attention is devoted to the theme of scientific progress, which remained one of the most central and relevant topics throughout the Soviet period, reflecting the drive for modernization. The article highlights the main themes, directions, and the key period of creation for works of monumental art
