Abstract

The purpose of the work is a comprehensive study of modern principles of criminal enforcement law and the problem of the need to supplement this branch of law with new types of principles. According to the authors, the current domestic penal enforcement law needs to be supplemented by the following three principles: separate detention of convicts, a progressive system, and ensuring the rights and freedoms of convicts. These principles should also be enshrined in article 8 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and have their own brief description in the content of the article
