Abstract

A widely recognized and efficient approach for managing burst errors involves executing the interleaving process prior to the transmission of data across a communication channel. This technique aims to mitigate the impact of burst errors by rearranging the order of the original message bits. Upon reception, the message bits are rearranged again to restore them to their original sequence. Consequently, the selection and design of suitable interleavers for advanced multiple-access techniques, such as interleave-division multiple-access (IDMA), present a significant challenge. This study investigates the system analysis and design of IDMA employing various types of interleavers. The performance of the IDMA system is evaluated utilizing Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation inunction with an Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel. The simulation outcomes indicate that the performance of IDMA across all interleavers is roughly equivalent
