- Abstract
The study of ethnic medicine of small indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East is of particular importance in the context of research and preservation of their traditional culture. This area represents the intersection of practical everyday knowledge and sacred knowledge, and is a point of contact between the spiritual and material components of traditional culture. Ethnomedicine is part of the ideas about the structure of the universe, about the harmonious inclusion of man in its structure. At the same time, the popularity and demand for the practice of ethnic medicine among modern consumers, gives special relevance to the research of this direction. The present article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of ethnomedicine of the Tungus-Manchu peoples of the Far East. The representatives of this ethnic group include Evenks, Eveny, Negidals, Uilta, Nanai, Ulchi, Udegeans, Orochi, and Tazy. In the course of the study, the specifics of vegetation and fauna of the Far East in the territories inhabited by these ethnic groups were studied. And also, the types of natural raw materials used by the Tungus- Manchu peoples in healing practices were described. As a result of this work, it was revealed that the ethnomedicine of Tungus-Manchu peoples is conditioned not only by climatic conditions, peculiarities of traditional types of economy, but also to a large extent by the worldview, which determines the understanding of Nature and the place of man in it
