Abstract

The paper focuses on analyzing post-truth phenomenon from the perspective of contemporary media. Specifics of human existence in the social media environment are identified, and a way is suggested for forming human identity within multiple information flows, each broadcasting their own ideas. Post-truth condition has been assumed to be of mythological nature. The findings regarding collective consciousness in post-truth discourse and its effects on individuals, as well as other results of the present study appear to be of importance for further philosophical and anthropological research
