Abstract

The purpose of the research presented in the article was to develop computer models for determining the modes and electromagnetic fields (EMF) of four-phase cable-type power transmission lines. The analysis of publications on the research topic allows us to draw the following conclusions: the tasks of determining the modes and EMF of high-voltage power transmission lines are of undoubted relevance; four- phase transmission lines can be effectively used in modern electric power systems. Such power lines can be used in areas with significant wind and ice loads, as well as for power supply to island and coastal territories. For comparison, four-phase overhead transmission line models were implemented. The simulation was carried out in the Fazonord AC-DC industrial software package, which allows calculations of electromagnetic field strengths to be performed simultaneously with the calculation of the mode in phase coordinates. The results obtained allowed us to formulate the following conclusions: in the ranges of real loads, a four- phase cable line provides better performance in terms of energy efficiency and electricity quality compared to an overhead line of the same design; in the considered scheme, with a transmitted power of 70 MW, losses in the cable line are reduced by half, and the asymmetry coefficient is almost four times; the EMF intensity of the cable The transmission lines are noticeably higher than for an overhead line, but their values do not exceed the permissible values
