Abstract

The article is dedicated to the digital reconstruction of the pictographs in the Sartynbet Grotto (Eastern Kazakhstan, Early Bronze Age). During the three-dimensional documentation of the site, photogrammetry was combined with various visualization techniques to enhance poorly visible images created with mineral pigments. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis revealed that the paint was primarily based on iron-containing minerals. The resulting interactive 3D model of the Sartynbet Grotto is freely available on the Sketchfab platform
