Abstract

When extinguishing fires, when the ambient air temperature drops to –30 ℃ and below, there is a risk of freezing of fire equipment, which significantly complicates the work of emergency services. A method of insulating a sleeve branch in conditions of low temperatures is proposed, which consists in using a special thermal insulation cover and supplying a hot air flow from a Rank-Hilsh vortex tube, which uses the energy separation effect after supplying compressed air from the engine of a fire truck
