Abstract

Master’s degree represents the second level of higher education in Russia, following a bachelor’s or specialist degree. It provides an opportunity to deepen professional knowledge, facilitates career advancement, and offers access to academic and research activities. This article examines the impact of Master’s education on wages and employment probability during 2019–2023. The study uses data from the Federal Employment Agency’s Graduate Employment Monitoring (Russia’s Work portal, June 1, 2024). Regression analysis methods were applied, considering various factors. The results indicate that obtaining a Master’s degree increases employment probability by 8 % and positively affects income levels. This effect is more pronounced for women and varies depending on the federal district and field of study
