Abstract

The paper presents a review of the results of ethnosociological research performed within “Sakha (Yakutia) Republic Foresight – 2050”. The trends in the Sakha people identity, language and culture transmission in the generational change and urbanization context are shown on the survey data basis. Also the changes in the efficiency of social institutions that provide cultural transmission are shown. Identified trends extrapolation allows us to formulate an evaluative forecast for these changes up to 2050. On the expert survey basis probable critical situations in the field of identity, language and culture transmission of Sakha people are identified. Besides the bases for the possible strategies in the field of education and culture aimed at preserving Sakha people as ethno-cultural community are discussed
