Abstract

In this paper the literary information are generalized and the chemical methods of the ultrafine zinc oxide forms production by chemical precipitation technique are reviewed. Moreover, the authors investigations in this field are represented, with the purpose to use ZnO in metal/oxide composites. The properties of ZnO powders that were obtained with thermal decomposition of zinc carbonate and oxalate are studied. The sintered powders were characterized with TG/DSC, SEM and XRD analysis.
