- Abstract
Methods of elemental and thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy and BET-studies explored the possibility of obtaining obtaining microporous carbon materials (CM) with specific surface area about 1350 m2/g by chemical activation at 800 °C of birch bark with potassium hydroxide used in solid and in solution form. The porous structure obtained from birch bark and betulin CMs was studied based on the N2, adsorption isotherms taken at 77 K
