- Abstract
N-Alkyl-3-methyl-4-nitrosoanilines were synthesized for the first time from acetone, primary amines and an unstable 2-hydroxyimino-3-oxobutanal. 2-Hydroxyimino-3-oxobutanal formed in the acidic medium by nitrosation of 4,4-dimethoxybutan-2-one. N-alkyl-3-methyl-1,4-phenylenediamines are obtained from N-alkyl-3-methyl-4-nitrosoanilines eduction of hydrazine hydrate in the presence of a catalyst (Pd / C).
