Abstract

The paper is dedicated to the comparative investigation of the magnetic properties and structure of oxide glasses doped with Fe and Mn. Manganese ferrite nanoparticles arise in the glasses as a result of an additional thermal treatment. The particles morphology is investigated with the high resolution electron microscopy. The glasses magnetization is investigated in the temperature interval 1,8-300 K in mag- netic field up to 5 T. The glasses magnetic properties are shown to be governed by the nanoparticles morphology.
