Abstract

The influence of highly dispersed iron-containing catalysts on the hydrogenation process parameters of Kansk-Achinsk brown coal from Borodino Pit was investigated. The catalysts were prepared by mechanochemical activation of haematite with subsequent ultrasound dispersion in coal or tetralin and coal impregnation with colloidal solution which obtained by hydrolysis of FeCl3 The highest degree of coal conversion to liquid and gaseous products 85,3 wt. % and the yield of hexane soluble products 56,1 wt.% were obtained in the presence of activated hematite which dispersed in tetralin by use of ultrasound. In the process of coal hydrogenation in tetralin the iron-containing catalysts accelerated as reactions of direct hydrogenation of coal organic mass (COM) and products of its decomposition by molecular hydrogen, well hydrogenation (reduction of hydrogen-donor properties) of dehydrogenated hydrogendonor solvent. In the presence of hematite catalysts the coal consumption 2,0-2,3 % (from COM) of hydrogen from tetralin, and 2,3-2,5 wt.% (from COM) of molecular hydrogen were observed.
