- Abstract
The article deals with affective communication in the digital space and aims to highlight the potential of linguistic research of emotions in the context of many branches of knowledge. The center of interest are the so-called emotional or expressive markers of the epoch by which the vector of a speaker’s mood marked by the social and cultural context in which the society lives can be “measured”. The communicative, semantic and graphic features of texts, reflecting their authors’ emotional state, are analyzed in the article on the basis of the comments posted on the newspaper “El País” web-page (2016) by the readers. The article contributes to the study of the comment as a genre of Internet-communication which is the most appropriate for expressing an individual’s spontaneous and immediate emotional state, the study having great potential for future research of the subject
