Abstract: A complex analysis of accidents in power supply systems in the conditions of the Far North as complex technical systems is given. Based on the accidents description analysis, causes of failures, energy systems recovery time distribution, were analyzed. The recovery time as a measure of reliability is suggested to be used to estimate failures severity
