Abstract

Algorithms of space image import in GIS are developed for manipulation by its as vector layers of polygonal objects. Software tools for automation of space images import of GeoTIFF format (Landsat) and HDF EOS format (Terra ASTER) in GIS were created. Assessment problems of vegetative cover state of forest-swamp territories in south-east of Western Siberia are considered using space images and geoinformation technologies.
