Abstract

The correlation analysis results of TOC time series and the surface biological active UVB radiation at wavelength 305 nm for Canadian regions in circumpolar (above 50ºN ) latitude are given in the article. The ozonosphere is determined as a basic variability modulator of the biological active UVB radiation in spite of the meteorological and geophysical difference of the regions and the complex dependence of the surface UV radiation. The high level correlation of daily and monthly variability time series of short wavelength UVB radiation, including growing season, with TOC oscillation is shown. This makes it possible to use TOC time series in the absence there of statically provided series of radiative monitoring in the capacity of alternative change in any region of circumpolar zone.
