Abstract

The article compared the induction MHD stirrer liquid metals with sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal periodic currents. On the basis of numerical simulation software product ANSYS, define differential and integral electromagnetic characteristics magnetohydrodynamic stirrer with two-phase and three-phase windings. It is shown that under certain conditions the inductor and the frequency of the supply current, magnetohydrodynamic stirrers with non-sinusoidal currents are more efficient and less energy-intensive than the magnetohydrodynamic stirrers with sinusoidal currents.
