Abstract

The article considers the role of hot briquetting and extrusion as part of the description of general scheme in forming molded articles and wire from graded friable chip of non-ferrous metals and alloys, excluding melting processing. Possible ways of intensification of shear strain are analyzed and tested on specific examples. It is found that the final type-size and the desired properties of the manufactured product are formed at the stage of cold drawing and heat treatment operations.
