Abstract

The cyclization of arylamides acetonedicarboxylate with isonitrosoacetylacetone was carried out. Arylamides of potassium salts of 2-hydroxy-5-nitroso-4,6- dimethylisophtalic acid were synthesized and characterized. Relevant nitrosophenols in a free form were preparated from these salts and their properties were investigated. 1H NMR spectroscopy showed that DMSO-d6 solutions of these compounds are entirely in the oxime form
